Backing onto a rainforest creek, the cottage is situated in the quiet and beautiful Main Creek area, in the foothills of the Barrington Tops, 15 mins from the township of Dungog, just a short drive to the walks and points of interest in scenic Chichester State Forest, and the magnificent Barrington Tops National Park. Bower Retreat is the perfect spot to sit back and relax and enjoy the quiet, or explore the marked tracks on the property including the rainforest creek, marvelling at the ferns and mosses, and then climb the timbered hill for a view of the property. The cottage sleeps up to 10 persons and is suitable for couples, families and groups. The Bower Retreat cottage is child and pet-friendly, with an enclosed yard to keep pets and small children secure. For the children, there are friendly cows to pat and feed. As well as chooks and other poultry to feed, and plenty of room to roam and ride push bikes. To cool off on the warmer days there is an in-ground swimming pool on the property which guests are welcome to use. Dungog-Clarence Town CWA presents its popular Quiltarama on SATURDAY 08 SEPTEMBER 2018 TO SUNDAY 09 SEPTEMBER 2018 at the Clarence Town School of Arts Hall and the Clarence Town Senior Citizens Day Care Centre, directly behind the Hall.

Come along and enjoy viewing the amazing quilts and quilted items on display. Shop at the lovely stalls where you’ll find an array of items for sale including patchwork, quilting and sewing supplies, beautiful handmade gifts and other crafts too!

Place a vote for your favourite quilt/quilted item. A Viewer’s Choice prize will be awarded to the maker of the “Most Popular” item. CWA members will once again run their lovely café with sandwiches, small cakes and slices, tea and coffee available.
