Backing onto a rainforest creek, the cottage is situated in the quiet and beautiful Main Creek area, in the foothills of the Barrington Tops, 15 mins from the township of Dungog, just a short drive to the walks and points of interest in scenic Chichester State Forest, and the magnificent Barrington Tops National Park. Bower Retreat is the perfect spot to sit back and relax and enjoy the quiet, or explore the marked tracks on the property including the rainforest creek, marvelling at the ferns and mosses, and then climb the timbered hill for a view of the property. The cottage sleeps up to 10 persons and is suitable for couples, families and groups. The Bower Retreat cottage is child and pet-friendly, with an enclosed yard to keep pets and small children secure. For the children, there are friendly cows to pat and feed. As well as chooks and other poultry to feed, and plenty of room to roam and ride push bikes. To cool off on the warmer days there is an in-ground swimming pool on the property which guests are welcome to use. Tracy was part of a retreat group on weekend. We walked and collected leaves and flowers for natural dyeing. Big part of the fun. Rolled up treasures collected in cotton fabric and dropped into boiling copper. Impressions from some of plants was fantastic. See MoreSee Less

A 6km paddle up the Williams River from Clarence Town Caravan Park to Mill Creek Falls. Water completely covering what usually is a rocky shelf. Very peaceful time on the river See MoreSee Less
